as an educational and training organization, ucysc emphasizes the elements of production that complement the acting, directing and stage management components, such as sound design and lighting. sound design plays a major part in all stage productions either with foley work or complementary soundscapes that accompany the spoken word or action. modern sound work uses digital audio to create that scenic sound scape. elementary and basic training in creation, mixing and editing in Logic Express and Pro/ AbletonLite/ Vegas/ Acid/ Audacity/ MAGIX and sampling/sequencing will be available subject to class minimum.

lighting, gels, stansions and hanging may be instructed on site or with a qualified instructor subject to availabilty.
